policy analysis
training program
The American Center for International Policy Studies (“AMCIPS”) provides a
non-partisan platform for the open exchange of information, ideas and
issues regarding global citizenship policy and conduct.
One of the key vehicles for achieving this is the preparation and
publication of Policy Studies. Policy Studies analyze important issues
with a view to identifying root problems and providing practical solutions
for beneficial change.
You can contribute to the analysis of important world issues by enrolling
in AMCIPS’ Policy Analyst Training Program. This program will teach you
how to analyze policy and will guide you in the preparation of policy
papers.
The training for policy analysis will develop skills for critical thinking
and problem solving. These skills are essential for successful decision
making in both public and private organizations.
The classes are held in a friendly, engaging and stimulating environment.
The course consists of 12 weekly, evening classes taught by a professional
instructor. This is followed by three trimesters of outside work, during
which you will prepare three policy papers under the guidance of a mentor.
Upon completion, you will receive your certificate as an American Center
for International Policy Studies “Policy Analyst”. High caliber work will
be posted on AMCIPS’ website and may be published in a hard copy
compilation of studies.
Enrollment eligibility: undergraduate degree or equivalent experience as
judged acceptable by the Director of Policy Studies.
